street challenge 2009

Street Challenge today! HANDBALL!
Registration starts at 7.30am. freak! Decided to drive down and so I reached SRC at 7am. rot in the car till about 7.45am.

Handball!
My handball teammates: Omar, Khairyn, Jeremy and Chris.
Our opponents were quite intimidating. big size, especially the guys. but we managed to beat one of the team (the dragonboaters...heehee...). close fight.
won 1 lost 2. =(
most importantly, we had fun.

this year's street challenge doesn't seem to be that happening.
the most dumbest thing in this whole event was the MUST wear the event singlet.
all the team members in a particular team were wearing the same colour. yet they insisted both team to wear the event singlet. then one team must wear bibs. how dumb can that be? yellow and black are obviously 2 distinct colour. yet, they insisted one of them to wear bibs. how freaking dumb can that be? like seriously, dumb. does sports club have some feedback form?? shingz!

Floorball street challenge! I didn't join though.
as usual, year in year out, floorball SC are dominated by NTU Floorballers.
i guess if not floorballers, who else will join? right?
i think almost every year, the semis and finals consist of floorballers playing against floorballers. errrm, like a lil whats the point? i guess this is the same for most sports.....but seriously, it is just like another FnG, just that this one, there are prizes to be won.
its funny to see how a supposedly fun thing turned into such an intense serious atmosphere just because winning is what they all think. scolding of ref, playing too rough, no smiles on their faces, solo etc...where's the fun and enjoyment that is supposedly to be?

overall, I'm sure the rest have fun. me too. i enjoyed snapping photos using Charmaine's dslr. i really love dslr. anyone wanna get me one? heehee....

i seriously shall go back to study. omg! anyone wanna take the exams for me??? seriously!
