Skate!

Oh yes, finally...after ages i managed to skate again. ddn't really lose my touch. yay!
We were suppose to skate at Bishan Park but thanks to the rain, we cannot do it. i guess it is blessing in a disguise. We ended up skating at void deck at Jill's place. I think that was a good idea. If not, i will have scratches and abrasions. I learnt some other movements too. yay!! My palm from the fall. lucky not my wrist. if not boomz! No pain no gain!!!!
Will go and get my own skate soon...weeehoooooooooooooooo!

I realised I was a more daring skater when I was younger. Can just go down the stairs, slope without any fear. No paddings needed. Now, i don't think I dare to do those... i need to bring back my dare devil attitude back in me!

This is so eggciting!!! Will do more skating once IVP is over. Shall not do it now since IVP is few days away....

9 days to IVP

It is 2nd January 2010. that means we are 9 days to IVP. weehoo! How eggciting is that?
Today's training was great. Made the court smaller. OMG! It is freaking small la. It is good also cos that means we don't need to run so much. Of course, there's not the so good thing. Opponents can close us down much faster too. hhhmmm.....there's no such thing as everything is good. there is always a balance. anyway, love today's training. Hope that will happen in IVP too. now i'm eggcited!!
I shall get back to reading my research paper for my FYP. OMG, back to reading research paper again. sigh. 6 more months to grad!!! weehoooooo!
*don't ask me what I want to work as after I grad. thank you!*

missing x-factor

what is the x-factor that is lacking here?

2010

So, here is 2010. Just another year. What lies ahead is a mystery. I believed it will be an exciting one because 1 Jan 2010 means.....
1. I'm 10 days to my IVP game.
2. 3 months 9 days to being 23.
3. 6 months to graduate from NTU.

and many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have to learn to move on. Things will never remain the same.

I've been watching this show, Jamie's Kitchen: Australia, on okto for the past few weeks. It is so inspiring. gosh! I love the way how Jamie Oliver touched those lives....amazing man! I wanna do something like that! No point I keep on mentioning it...i need to start somewhere....

Team traits: LAFFE
Loyalty, Attitude, Fearless play, Faith and Encouragement.

Player's trait: HEARTS
Humble, Effort, Accountability, Resilience, Teachable and Self-control.

Question: Why do you fall?
Answer: So, you learn to get up.

I remembered spending one hour plus on that during one of our IVP training last year. Traveled all the way down to ITE Macpherson, trained for a short while and the rest of the time was spent on that. I guess it was worth the time. I miss those days. I would want to travel back to time and revisit those times. too bad, we can't. those are the times that will never come back. life has to go on. no point looking back and try to compare it with the present day. they will never ever be the same. It is nice to be part of it and experienced it. Wonderful season. It just didn't end the way we expected. sad. result is just the output. the process is important. I guess that is the part where we remember the most.

For the past few weeks i've been worrying myself saying that i am not prepared for the upcoming IVP. How I am not doing well in friendlies. this and that. After talking to Jill, i felt better. I felt more motivated for this coming IVP. There are just somethings that are beyond our control. What is important is that you give all you have. I have been asking this question, how do you know that the game you played is your best. Somehow I found the answer. First, I have to stop telling myself good game = score or assist. Second, I learnt that today's best is not the same as yesterday's. I have to stop comparing it. Tomorrow's best...you wouldn't know. Thirdly, maybe there are game where it isn't just at your peak. Instead of doing what you usually do, focus on other things. Example. maybe that game you just cannot shoot..so instead of trying to do that all the way, do others things like telling yourself that you will run very hard and defend. The most important is that i have to stop comparing. Every game is a new game. So ya, I feel better now. More motivated. weehooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somehow, she gave me the assurance that everything will be fine =) i hope.

I will be graduating soon. Up till now, I totally have no idea what I want to do after that. research? I doubt that. Maybe a short while. I want something, something that allows me to touch people lives, allows me to share my knowledge with people, something that will give me a certain kind of satisfaction. I've seen some of my professor who has been working on a molecule for ages, even before I was born and still working on the same thing today. I don't want that. I really wonder...what I will do after I grad. hhhmmm...............

Being humble is the best way if you want to learn something.
my blur moment. freaking blur moment. totally blur moment.

Last night, on MSN, I mistook Afiqah as my other guy friend. I totally forgot it was her cos her email add was somewhat similar to my this guy friend's blog address. I was totally confused when she talked about floorball...how she want to play against this team in a friendly. All the while I was wondering, "How come he wants to play against this team when he is not even in NTU". So I asked Afiqah that question and she said "....I'm in NTU what?" I got more confused. So I thought "How the hell is he in NTU when he is serving his NS???" Few seconds later, I found that I was talking to Afiqah. zzzz......totally blur. blur like sotong. i think worst than sotong!

Training today! Ultimate! The best record I ever seen in my entire IVP life. Only __ number of players turned up. gosh!!! seriously! I don't blame those who didn't come. no worries my friends =) but okay la...it turned out not so bad... i still do enjoy the training though sian at first. I love the game session. OMG! today our supposedly zai goalie (the board) is super off form la..keep on conceding goals...bleachz!! hahaha...... and the other zai goalie was super on form. crap!! must be the fengshui...hahaha... overall, i do enjoy today's training =)

IVP is like 2 weeks away. 12 days to be exact. gosh...i don't feel prepared for it. like seriously. gosh! how la how??? sigh. i shall say no more about this. sadness man. shall not be defeated before the war begins!!!! be positive!!!!

Exam result is out. so anti climax. the moment i clicked enter, the result popped out. i didn't even have the chance to blink my eyes. result wasn't that bad but a lil disappointed with it. sigh. with that result, i really wonder if i am going to continue in research field. seriously. i don't think i am that brilliant or super smart. shall follow my heart. apparently in Singapore, sometimes following your heart doesn't work. hahah.... i shall see how it goes...

signing off....
sian....

avatar

Spoiler ahead. Skip this paragraph if you haven't catch Avatar and planing to catch one.

Okay...I think Avatar 3D is really super overrated. Everyone who went to watch it was like "Awesome movie", " MUST Watch". I find it like normal typical expected movie. What makes it interesting is the effect...the 3D, erm ok la. It didn't really pop out as i expected. haha. It is quite cool though. The movie is really typical expected kind. Overall, I still do enjoy it. 4.5/5. Catch it if you haven't done so.

In the cinema, our seats were at the sides, just beside the aisle. It is blardy freaking irritating because people keep walking up and down the aisle to the toilet. the horrible thing is that they can't walk quietly especially those irritating kids. urgh! stupid people. felt like sticking my legs out and let them tripped over my leg and roll down the stairs. that will be a real 3D. haha.

NTU-NUS Challenge yesterday. It was a success. Kudos to both side but more to NTU for organising it. I think the gal's game was more interesting that the guys. First time gals game is better than guys'. Ended the game with a 1-1 draw. Extra time, penalty shoot out didn't work. Sudden death. and we won! good job to everyone. overall, NUS won. 7-5 to NUS (6-4, guys game and 1-1, gals' game).

Seriously, after the exam break i feel i'm going down. going down baby. Yesterday's game...I can't received properly, can't control the ball properly, can't stop the ball properly. urgh! sucks! I do made some good passes, good block, took a proper shot but after the game, i just don't feel good. how do you know that the game you played is your best one?
As Tiong said, the only way is UP! yes, I'm going UP baby! All of us are going UP!!!!
IVP here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 more weeks....

Almost all of my coursemate have start their fyp but not me. =(
